Ferrari Ki Sawaari, a family film, written and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, starring Sharman Joshi in the lead is scheduled to release in mid June 2012.
The songs were launched at an event held recently. Vidya Balan performed live on stage for the song 'Mala Jao De'.
The Film is directed by Rajesh Mapukar and Pritam has scored the film's music.
Vidya Balan's item number has been creating quite a news since the time it was announced.
Well.. why not... Its her first "Item Number" and she probably has done justice to it.
After 'Ooh la La' guess she got a bit bold :)
The song has been adapted from a traditional Maharshtrian Lavani number titled "Mala Jau De" (Pritam you see... we cant say more).
YetUrmila Dhangar has done full justice to Guru Thakur's lyrics.
Pritam as usual has given a great shot at revamping the original... and this one sure is mass.
Yeah as usual he's got the sound right.. and this one sounds really full of happiness and celebration.
So.. I feel this would definitely be played by every DJ at parties, and also would be heard playing at a loud volume, in cars driven by youngsters.
Shelf life is about 3 months unless we get another song to replace this earlier than that.
In my opinion this is a "Gaana" & not a "Na-Na". Play it loud for now..!!
Some snippets i picked up from various places:-
Mala Jau De! was shot over a period of three days.
Director Rajesh Mapuskar has also choreographed the song.
Vidya Balan worked with authentic folk dancers for three weeks to get the song right.
Heres the official preview to the song:-
Do comment & let me know if my judgement is right. Would really appreciate feedback..
Cheerz & God Bless!!
